What Is Ceramic Coating?

A liquid nano-ceramic layer that bonds chemically to your factory paint, forming a hard, transparent shell far more durable than wax — guarding against UV rays, oxidation, scratches, and contaminants.

UV & Heat Defense

Preserves your color and gloss through every season.

Hydrophobic Finish

Dirt and water slide right off for faster, easier washes.

Lasting Durability

Resists swirls and light scratches, outlasting wax by years.

One-Step vs Two-Step Paint Correction

One-Step Paint Correction

A single pass with a machine polisher using a light- to medium-grit compound or polish. It removes minor swirl marks, light scratches, and surface oxidation. It's faster and more affordable, but won't address deeper defects. Best suited for newer vehicles or cars in relatively good condition that just need a refresh before coating.

Two-Step Paint Correction

Two separate passes — the first with a heavier cut compound to remove deeper scratches, swirls, and defects, followed by a finer polish to refine the finish and restore gloss. This is the most common professional approach, balancing defect removal with a clean, high-clarity result. Ideal for most vehicles that have noticeable paint issues.

Ceramic Coating FAQs

Common questions about ceramic coating and how it protects your paint.

What is ceramic coating?

Ceramic coating is a liquid nano-ceramic layer that chemically bonds to your vehicle's factory paint, forming a hard, transparent shell far more durable than wax. It guards against UV rays, oxidation, chemical stains, and light scratches while giving a deep gloss and a hydrophobic, easy-clean finish.

How long does ceramic coating last?

It depends on the package. Our Tier 1 spray coating protects for up to a year, Tier 2 uses a 3-year coating, and Tier 3 uses a 5-year coating. Regular maintenance washing helps any coating reach its full lifespan.

Is ceramic coating better than wax?

Yes. Wax sits on top of the paint and washes away in weeks to a couple of months. Ceramic coating bonds to the paint and lasts years, offering far stronger protection against UV, chemicals, and water spotting, with a glossier finish and much easier cleaning.

Does ceramic coating prevent scratches and rock chips?

Ceramic coating adds hardness that resists swirl marks and very light scratches, but it's not a shield against rock chips or deep scratches. For physical impact protection, paint protection film (PPF) is the right choice — and the two can be combined.

Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?

A coating locks in whatever condition the paint is in, so correcting swirls and scratches first gives the best result. Our Tier 2 package includes one-step paint correction and Tier 3 includes two-step correction; Tier 1 is a spray coating with no correction.

How much does ceramic coating cost?

Pricing is tiered by package and vehicle size, starting at $495 and going up to $2,095 for our top tier. Contact us with your vehicle and goals and we'll recommend the right package.
